“It is difficult to put into words how much these sessions have helped me in not only my working environment but also in my personal life. Having the space in a non-judgemental environment to work through difficulties has been incredible. I feel much more confident and able to enjoy who I am, whilst growing as a person.”

Coaching is unlocking a person's potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them.

“Not finance. Not strategy. Not technology. It is teamwork that remains the ultimate competitive advantage, both because it is so powerful and so rare.”
Patrick Lencioni, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team
In organisations, successful outcomes are reliant on good communication and team work. No one person in an organisation, even the most talented of leaders can make progress – much less succeed – alone. Increased profits and excellent service to clients and organisation can all be achieved if the work force is “singing off the same hymn sheet” and systems are in place to remove any frustrations or obstacles to success. In order to achieve this, an appreciation and understanding of one’s own and everyone else’s working style is essential. We all need to be able to understand and (when necessary) adapt our own style when working with others to achieve cooperation and influence. Locus offers team development coaching often using the DiSC by Wiley behavioural and people reading tool.

“It was a really enjoyable day with a good amount of time to discuss and reflect. The tool (DiSC -people and behaviour reading) was helpful in understanding behaviours and styles which made me appreciate other styles more. It was a comfortable and supportive environment in which we were able to express things honestly.”

How it works:
Length of Training:
The amount of sessions required will depend on what you want to accomplish and at what point you are on the route to getting there. A starting point for one 2 one coaching is booking six 2 hour sessions once a fortnight; with work completed by yourself in between sessions. It may be that you find that you need fewer sessions, in which case we adjust the amount booked; or it may be that on completion of six sessions you want to book some more. It all depends on how it is working for you as the coachee.
For groups or teams there are 2 day, whole day or half day options. Suggested however is that there are at least two sessions delivered with time inbetween to ensure that the learning becomes embedded. It may be that you would like to have several sessions delivered over the course of a year or a few delivered within a short space of time. Either can be accommodated.
Setting up the sessions:
If you are an employer or manager wanting to arrange coaching for staff then we would normally begin the first session with a three-way conversation to establish what is to be covered. If you are seeking coaching for yourself then no one else is involved unless you say otherwise. At all times confidentiality is observed and the exact nature of it established.

You can either come to Fiona’s North London Studio or we can use a Central London venue for one 2 one work. Alternatively we can meet at your place of work, or arrange a mutual location.
Team or group sessions are usually carried out at your place of work or we can discuss a different venue.
Determining the cost:
This will depend on your package where the training is undertaken. A phone conversation is usually the best way to determine what is right for you, if you want to go ahead and if so what the fees involved are. Fiona recognises that for the work to be truly effective you need to understand how we would work together and that a personal consultation before booking is important.
